Welcome to Strategy Stories
A dedicated space for sensemaking at the intersection of innovation, strategy, and futures thinking
Welcome to Strategy Stories!
I’m glad you’re here.
My name is Jackie Lavorgna and I believe in making principles and reflections on strategy, foresight, and innovation more approachable and accessible to a broader audience.
I launched Lavorgna Strategy Studio in 2025 as a way to help individuals and organizations balance near-term pressure with long-term thinking and connect insight to action. While we traditionally think of organizations as the primary audience for strategy frameworks, I believe the best of the strategy space is also deeply applicable at the individual level.
Strategy Stories is the insights vertical of Lavorgna Strategy Studio. This is a space for anecdotes, case studies, and reflection at the intersection of innovation, strategy, and futures thinking. I bridge personal experiences with strategic insight to offer a human perspective on change, progress, and strategy.
Three key anchoring points to help us orient:
Strategy is a mindset, not a piece of paper. Strategic thinking unlocks our ability to analyze insights, identify themes and trends amidst the noise, and balance considerations of impact, effort, and priority.
Innovation comes in many forms, and they’re not all flashy. Innovation plants the seeds of longer-term, sustained change.
Foresight is a method for considering — but not predicting — possible futures. Futures thinking helps us envision a multitude of possible futures based on signals and trends experienced today.
As a starting point, consider one of these reflection questions:
Looking back, what key signals of change or drivers of innovation seemed unimportant at the time, but ended up being transformative?
What signals of change are you noticing now, and how might they shape your future strategy?
Where do you see the most potential benefit to slowing down to engage in futures thinking?
Thanks for being here, and welcome to the Studio!
